To be responsible for controlling the day to day audit work; flag up issues and concerns to the Audit Manager at an early stage; train Audit Assistants as needed; ensure deadlines and budgets are met and the audit file is presented for review as a substantially complete file, finished to a good standard and signed off.
Financial Services is one of the firm's key specialist sectors. Our Financial Services audit team consists of two divisions, Financial Services Audit and Financial Services Advisory. The Financial Services Audit team is a fast-growing part of our business principally responsible for the audits of regulated investment funds, boutique asset managers and personal investment companies. The Financial Services Advisory team is a more recent addition to our offering, providing a range of alternative assurance services, including client money (CASS) audits, fund merger valuations and internal control reports, and supporting FCA-regulated businesses in meeting their regulatory responsibilities.
It is intended that the successful candidate would be based within our Financial Services Audit team but would also work within our Financial Services Advisory team, providing a breadth and depth of experience.

The successful candidate will have practical experience and/or knowledge of controls testing and FCA regulations. Experience in carrying out FCA regulatory and client money audits would be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will also have good organisational skills, be pro-active in their approach to their work and have an adaptable mindset.
